The Stanford Graduate School of Business comes out on top of the Princeton Review’s ranking of the business schools that offer students the best career prospects. Stanford has held the top slot the last four years we’ve reported on the list. In its just-released book, The Best 295 Business Schools, the New York-based test prep and educational services company takes into account statistical information supplied by the schools, in addition to surveys it collected from 22,000 students. Successful alumni don’t contribute to the score but if they did, Stanford’s list would be impressive. It includes billionaires Laurene Powell Jobs, Nike’s Phil Knight, venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and Tom Steyer, who made his money at hedge fund Farallon Capital and now devotes himself to environmental and political activism. Steve Ballmer dropped out of the business school at Bill Gates’ request. Another famous drop-out: Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, who is worth $20 billion, according to Forbes.
