Undergraduate thesis on frisbee design: how to change the profile to increase stability and prolong flight duration, and built controller that helps stabilize wobble for terrible frisbee throwers (like myself). Inducted into Sigma Xi (scientific research society) for contributions to fluid mechanics (understanding air flow around a frisbee in flight).

Princeton University

Virtual Interviewer

11/2017 - now

I'm a virtual interviewer for Princeton focusing on the Middle East & North Africa. I found my interview to be the most intimidating part of my application, primarily because I felt like I failed to connect to my interviewer; as such, I hope to serve as a more familiar face to students for whom the application process is already daunting.

Princeton University

Food Chair, Terrace F. Club

12/2019 - 12/2020

As Food Chair of my Eating club, I managed a ~$1M annual budget in conjunction with the Head Chef and Club Manager. My responsibilities included acting as a liaison to the student body to account for allergies and preferences, as well as significant advanced planning for 3 annual formal events, where food was tied to an event theme to create an overall experiential narrative. As a working team, we also researched, met with, and developed relationships with suppliers to continue to fit within budget constraints while satisfying the wants of club members. Prior to being Food Chair, I worked weekly shifts in the kitchen helping chefs serve 250+ students.

Princeton University

Editor-in-Chief, Stripe Magazine

12/2016 - 12/2017

As Editor-in-Chief of Stripe Magazine, Princeton's online fashion magazine, I led a team of writers, photographers, and stylists, producing weekly content on the goings-on in the fashion industry and major trends, quarterly photoshoots that involved partnering with businesses in town to provide clothing and serve as an advertising opportunity, and coordinated on-campus events such as a talk with Vanessa Friedman, the head of New York Times Style, who is also an alum

CityTaps

Mechanical Engineering Intern

I was the only individual with mechanical engineering knowledge in my time at CityTaps, a small, scrappy start-up in Paris, France. Thus, I had to manage my entire summer and was in charge of all decisions relating to the design of their prototype: in addition to engineering responsibilities, I also managed relationships with suppliers in French and was a part of a working team that met with prospective investors, speaking in a mix of both French and English.
