anonymous PhD in EdTech - Columbia vs. NYU I'm interested in pursuing a phd program in Educational Technology but I can't decide between Columbia University EdD in Instructional Technology and the PhD in Educational Communication and Technology in NYU. I need a program where I can be able to design and create tools for learners such as apps and websites. I don't want a program that focuses on theoretical stuff. I mean I need a practical study. Thanks. #University university college phd edtech nyu med medicine

Alexander Doctoroff Post-interview follow up What should I do after the interview? Is it best to send an email or thank you card thanking the admissions committee, or should I send a follow up specifically asking how I am doing in the process as a candidate? #Med med medicine

Alexander Doctoroff Interview questions? What specific topics and questions will I most likely be asked during the interview? #Med med medicine

Alexander Doctoroff How do I pick one? Once I get accepted into a few programs (hopefully), how do I select which one I should attend? I don't really have a top pick, I'm very indecisive and have more of a top 4. #Med med medicine

Sierra Clark Personal Statement I did not just have an "ah-hah" moment where instantly I just knew I would become a nurse. It was a culmination of experiences, people, and events that contributed to my desire to practice medicine. Would the admissions committees prefer that I pick a specific memory, or that I tell my story of how I developed an interest? #Med med medicine

Alexander Doctoroff Community college I took a few classes at community college over the summers to save money and graduate a semester early. How will this affect my application? Would it appear that I was lazy and took the "easier" route by knocking out some tough classes? If so, how should I go about explaining the situation. #Med med medicine

Sierra Clark W? What effects does having a 'W' on my transcript have? I had to withdraw from just only one class after the add/drop period because of a personal family emergency. #Med med medicine

Sierra Clark Nursing major Was it good or bad that I majored in nursing, as my future plans are applying and attending med school? #Med med medicine

Alexander Doctoroff What is the best volunteering activity on an application? Should I volunteer at a clinic or at a large hospital? I could volunteer at a hospital that has about a 6 hour per week time commitment. My other option is to volunteer at a smaller clinic four about four hours per week. Which is better for medical school? #Med med medicine
