Regarding choice of MBA schools
What kind of questions can I ask students of a school so that I can get information that I wouldn't otherwise get on the school's site?
Also, should I immediately eliminate a school if my GMAT doesn't fall in the range of schools I would like to apply to?
- Kofi Kankam expert No - I would keep that school, especially if your GPA is higher than the mean of the school. If your GMAT is within 30 to 50 points, I think you can still consider the program. You should think about the questions that you TRULY want to have answered and then determine if that particular school's website answers that question. That's how I would approach it.
- Shannon Lopez Agree with @Kofi Kankam . One question I've found to be especially helpful is, 'what has surprised you most about your experience here?'.
- anonymous @Shannon thanks for the advice!
- anonymous @Kofi Kankam Thanks for the heads up. Also, what if the school you went doesn't have a GPA system? I have been advised that in that case, we should not attempt to convert unless explicitly asked to do so since different schools have different grading scales - India in this case.
