Profile Evaluation, 26yrold female software engineer
Hello,
I'm hoping someone can take a look at my profile.
Schools I'm applying to:
University of Texas at Dallas - Part Time
Syracuse University - online program (SU is also my alma mater)
5 years experience in software engineering. Promoted twice within 3 years, currently tech lead of my team.
Extra Curricular: Selected twice as a reverse mentor for senior leadership, lead of a millennials networking group, participate in a "Young Investor Advisory Board"
GMAT: 560(Q:37V:30) IR: 4
Undergrad GPA: 2.8/4.0 (engineering classes are not the easiest)
Since I'm not applying to "top schools", do you think I should retake the GMAT to try to get a better quant score? Or would my experience in technology make up for the low score?
Thank You
#MBA

- Kofi Kankam expert Hi Shannon - you nee to get that GMAT up. I think you can make a push with a 620+ GMAT for your programs (especially Syracuse), but I am concerned about the score and your GPA as combo. I really suggest taking a look at taking the exam again and taking some classes in accounting, stats, or economics as stand-alone courses. You'll definitely get some slack cut b/c you studied engineering, but you need to show the programs you are serious about getting top grades and will make that a priority in business school, especially when you will be working and be remote. I hope that makes sense. {{ 1438962817231+1-1 | date : 'short' }} my Linda El Awar likes this
