- Eric Allen expert Subradeep, I'm pretty good,but not that good :-). My recommendation would be to go to each site and see if the schools have a career report. For engineering, they tend to be buried if there at all, however, you can get a good sense for if the programs are generating academics (PhD candidates) or sending them into industry. That could be a good first screen for you depending on your goals. Don't hesitate to reach out to the program contacts and ask them if they have a career report or if they can provide you with a list of % of students who went to PhD programs vs. # who went into industry.
