anonymous How to include Pro-Bono work in your resume for b-school I am applying to business school this fall and am curious how to include the pro-bono work I do for my firm in my resume. Should it be listed as community service or as one of the bullets under my current position? Should I specifically call out that it is work through my firm or pro-bono in nature? Thank you. {{ 1467122016671+1-1 | date : 'short' }} my Eric Allen , Sunny Ng like this mba resume Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn
Eric Allen expert Meghan, good question. I've seen it both ways and it really depends on the situation. If it was a team work project where you all did some pro bono work as a firm or team, you may want to include it there, but I think it stands out more as part of your extracurricular/outside activities section, especially if it was long-term in nature. If it was only a week or a few months, it may be best in your work experience section. Yes, you should speak to the fact that it was pro bono and also highlight if it was pure volunteer (as opposed to something everyone in the firm does). I hope that helps. #mba #resume {{ 1467123074813+1-1 | date : 'short' }} Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn
