Do I need an addendum?
I graduated from undergrad in three years and spent my last semester abroad (bit of a rare situation...)
I am now completing an internship and either continuing it or looking for a new one next semester, before hopefully enrolling in law school in the fall of 2017.
Do I need to write an addendum to explain why I've taken a year off after undergrad?
I'm afraid that a lack of a traditional "gap year plan" would be a disadvantage for me..
- Christina Taber-Kewene expert Hi Alix, great question! There is no need to explain away time after undergrad. In fact, many if not most students work or travel or do internships in the time between undergrad and law school. I would not say it is the norm any longer to enroll directly after undergrad. I hope this is helpful to you. Also, you may find that the work you have done since graduating is applicable to your personal statement. If you think anything is unexplained, you can address that in the addendum. Reach out with any additional questions, and good luck!
