anonymous alum Common Question - Relevant coursework I am a physician and I work with candidates to help them navigate the admissions process. I recently received similar questions from a few folks, so I thought I would share it with you. A number of candidates ask about relevant coursework leading up to medical school. Clearly bio / pre-med will get you where you need to be, but this question tends to be more for the non-traditional applicant. If you're thinking about medical school and you're making a transition, I suggest you consider a double major, 1-yr MS program, take a supplemental course load AND show your passion for medicine through internships. Obviously, you will need the content for your MCATs, but the passion/interest in medicine is equally important for your application. Just my $.02. #Med {{ 1446062205406+1-1 | date : 'short' }} med medicine Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn
