Choosing between MBA programs...
I there, Admit.me community. I'm currently stuck deciding between admissions offers from Duke Fuqua and Yale SOM. Both are great schools and a great fit for what I want to do in the social impact measurement space. Yale SOM is probably better suited to my career goals, but Fuqua also has a strong center for Social Entrepreneurship (although the student body is less bent toward social sector jobs).
After my visit to both Yale really stood out to me in terms of student body, course offerings, and connections for future jobs. However, SOM & Fuqua are relatively comparable in rankings, and Duke offered me a 1/2 tuition scholarship, which I find hard to turn down! I'm having a hard time quantifying the ROI down the road, even though I want Yale.
Help!

- Oladapo For me, having as little debt as possible is important in the long term. As far as the social space is concerned, Yale might be your preference but you can't go wrong with Duke. {{ 1494286392733+1-1 | date : 'short' }}

- Jay Mixter expert Hard to go wrong with either choice! Perhaps you should look for alumni of both programs in companies and roles related to your career focus. While the research alone may help you decide if there is a significant advantage to Yale over Duke, you might also consider reaching out to alumni in the field; you can also ask the Admissions Office if they can help connect you with alums in appropriate companies and functions. {{ 1494533077919+1-1 | date : 'short' }} my Sunny Ng likes this
