Laura Julia Shappirona Best undergrad major for law school? Are there particular undergrad majors preferred for admissions to law school? #Law {{ 1479534536482+1-1 | date : 'short' }} my anonymous likes this law Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn All Replies User Picks
anonymous alum Hi Laura, this is such a great question and one we get asked all the time. There is no one major, and in fact, schools look for a diversity of experience in their applicants. So, go ahead and major in Biology or Art History or Religious Studies. The best preparation for thinking like a lawyer is coursework that strengthens your analytical and critical reading and writing skills. Philosophy is a common major for those oriented that way (it was mine!), but other similar approaches include International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, English, History ... {{ 1480961860602+1-1 | date : 'short' }} my Jennie Rothman likes this Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn
