Portfolio Advice - Day 4
Use good quality photographs of your work.
Quality photos are essential to a successful portfolio. If your work is blurry, too dark or too light, or doesn’t fit the frame, this can be distracting. Make sure the photos of your work are clear, evenly lit, and completely fill the frame.
You may decide to use an image editing software like photoshop to crop the image and balance the exposure, but don’t over do it. You want your portfolio images to be a true representation of your work.
There are lots of tips out there for photographing your work for your portfolio. A great time to shoot your work is outside on an overcast day - the lighting is soft, and never washes out your images.
