I also think it's important to really look for leadership opportunities within the school and outside the school. If you've participated in a club or outside activity, go for President, layout a plan for growth/impact and execute. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership and could be a great essay topic. Any additional thoughts @Jennie Rothman or @Savena Wright?

- Jennie Rothman expert @Eric Allen I agree. Juniors should definitely start considering leadership roles. I would also add that juniors should cultivate relationships with teachers and advisers, whom they'll need to write recommendations the following year. The better your recommenders know you, the more specific and stronger their letter of recommendation will be. So it's best to start developing those relationships early. {{ 1443814169340+1-1 | date : 'short' }} my Eric Allen likes this
