Most of the law schools I am applying to offer merit based scholarship, dependent on the conditions that I maintain a GPA above a 3.0. I had no problem maintaining at least 3.5 during my undergrad studies, but should I use discretion when budgeting and taking out loans incase I do fall below the requirement? Is there a grading curve at most law schools and whats the average GPA?
- Christina Taber-Kewene expert Hi again, Laura! I can't answer your question without knowing which law schools you are looking at: Harvard is different from X state law school. But you can always increase your loan load later should you need to. I would assume that if you are awarded a merit-based scholarship, that you will have the capability of keeping your grades up sufficiently high.
