Do I have to be a “pre-law” student to go to law school?
- Zari Rose-Stanton I don't think so... I had a friend that was a philosophy major. He passed the LSAT then got accepted! I'm not sure though--he could have changed his major and I just didn't know.
- Jennie Rothman expert Not at all. I was an English major. People come from all sorts of background. #law
- Christina Taber-Kewene expert And, I would add, it is not at all preferred by law schools. Many undergraduate institutions do not even have a pre-law major. You can be an Art major, Political Science major, Chemistry major ... what you do need to do is maintain a high GPA, take rigorous coursework, engage deeply in your studies, and rock the LSAT. One step at a time, though :)
