When I graduate college in May 2016, I will have a bachelor's degree in Biomolecular Science. I plan to get my Master's in Nursing soon after but in order to be a competitive applicant, I know extracurricular activities is highly considered. So I've searched, for two years now for the opportunity to grow and be introduced to what I am in school for, but it turns out internships of my interest are scarce. Where do you suggest a student interested in cellular biology find a laboratory internship??

- April Haukoos expert @AshelySimon I would start by checking with teaching hospitals. Moffitt Cancer and Research Institute would be another option. In addition, the NIH has many internship programs, some of which involve molecular and/or cellular biology. It would be a good idea to check with your department chair as well and ask if they have any recommendations. It may be easier to get into an internship program if your university already has a relationship established with a facility.
